Police are being brought in to investigate fly tipping on Blackacre Lane, Ormskirk - with a £500 reward for anyone with information that will identify the culprits and led to their arrest.
Landowner Abid Eid of Billinge believes someone broke in recently by cutting open sturdy metal gates with a Stihl saw.
Hardcore was then dumped to enable trucks to drive onto the site - a former sewage works - and dump a number of skip loads of waste.
QLocal reporter Roger Blaxall took these exclusive photos this afternoon; Abid believes the rubbish is from the Manchester area and was dumped by a third party possibly from the Knowsley area.
Mr. Eid's contacting the Ormskirk based Rural Crime Team and is hoping local residents will keep any eye out for any suspicious activity at the site. Meanwhile, a notebook found at the site has someone's HSBC bank details in it.
